TIBCO Software Inc. announced that it has acquired Netrics, a privately held provider of enterprise data matching software products. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Netrics' data matching engine is a powerful tool that eases the handling of duplicate, dirty or incomplete data records. Its unique in-memory, algorithmic-based approach to learning from matches over time improves the efficacy of operations managing large volumes of streaming data. In contrast to conventional approaches, Netrics' products are embeddable in existing software applications and business processes and can be used by anyone and everyone who accesses enterprise information: administrators, sales people, front-line personnel, even customers. Netrics' technology will complement TIBCO's data governance, master data management and event-driven solutions.
