Pentaho Corporation, the undisputed leader in open source business intelligence (BI), announced today that Rob Bearden has been appointed executive chairman of the board. Bearden, a veteran executive in the commercial open source software industry, most recently served as the president and chief operating officer of SpringSource before it was acquired by VMware. Bearden will collaborate closely with Pentaho CEO Richard Daley in overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of the company.
