Ruby Tuesday, Inc. (NYSE: RT) has invested in a Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, to consolidate source data and build a cross-functional business intelligence environment.
Ruby Tuesday’s current environment includes data marts that were originally designed for transactional processing to represent information from key operational and financial source systems. In this environment, business analysts experienced slow response times to queries.
With the purchase of the Teradata Active EDW, Ruby Tuesday will consolidate its data on a single platform for faster query results and lower database maintenance costs.
