Whiteaker resident and University of Oregon (UO) student, Kory Northrop, recently won the grand prize in a national competition challenging students to create the best graphic presentation of a specific transportation policy issue.
The US Department of Transportation-sponsored competition, “Data Visualization Student Challenge,” was created to encourage students to explore graphical data displays as a tool for helping policy-makers make better-informed decisions regarding transportation safety and/or economic development.
