Xcel Energy Doubles Size of Its Teradata Active Data Warehouse

Xcel Energy has doubled the size of its Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse from Teradata Corporation, the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics. The expansion supports the energy company’s focus on better revenue management through integrated data and analysis of customer and energy use.

"We are continuing to develop our integrated data environment to deliver cost-savings and business value across Xcel Energy," said Brian Jore, director of analytics at Xcel Energy. "We’re already using Teradata successfully to monitor various business process controls and increase earnings. We are now completing efforts in minutes and hours that previously took days and weeks. And we’re doing it with less headcount and greater accuracy."
